Trust the road

Dear friend,

Hello from the road.

I’m in Canada looking for a van.

I test-drove a 23-foot empty white van, and a pushy salesman tried to convince me it was the perfect place to start She’s Proof. He walked around the back of the van, telling me where to set up my podcasting space and where to put my bed.

I told him I wanted to get on the road pretty quickly and definitely didn’t have the time or the money to design a state-of-the-art rolling SHE’S PROOF headquarters.

Although I wish I did.

And thinking about it, yes, that’s the dream.

But right now, less is more.

I’m going to see a more modest vehicle, 25 years older, with a bed already in it. That's sensible, right?

The closer I get, the more fear comes up.

What on earth am I doing!!?

I’ve been semi-gracefully moving through the unknown by writing to myself every day. I’ve committed to a year—365 letters—a dialogue between my higher self and my earthbound self.

My higher self is the part of me that is untouched by anything on earth. It’s my eternal soul, always connected to Source.

When I write these letters, I embody that part of myself and imagine looking at my life from that detached, untouchable, safe place. I uplift and remind the small earth me that I can trust the path and trust the guidance I get from my higher self.

I'm honestly quite amazed at how wise that part of me is.

This morning, my higher self managed to cut through the noise of my looping thoughts and reminded me of something very important:

Fear is not my friend.

Apparently. The only thing I should do is release fear. Drop it, refuse it, clear it. My higher self can’t guide me when I’m in fear.

Fear restricts, controls and diminishes.

When I relax and let go, a channel opens within and through it flows abundance and guidance.

I may have to start this journey in an ancient vehicle with quirks, but start this journey I must.

The perfect, amazing, decked-out She’s Proof vehicle will arrive in the perfect time-space continuum.

This I affirm.

I’m still a bit nervous, but hey, that’s not stopping me.

Thank you for walking with me.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.
